Hi cancun,
I'm really sorry that this is the third time you've been diagnosed with cancer but I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone.
Many members on the forum have had cancer multiple times and will understand how you're feeling and what you're going through right now. I have found two members on the forum that have been in similar situations that may be able to help you at this time: [@LorraineD] and new member [@sara28]. Both have had re-diagnosis of cancer and now that I've tagged them in this post I'm sure they will reply when they can to offer their support and share their experiences with you.
Kind Regards,
Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
I can completely understand where your coming from I've just been rediagnosed for the third time in 5years if you want to talk some more feel free to contact me.
Hi I have lymphoma it's been in different places each time atm it's in my spleen and surrounding tissue. I'm still waiting to hear of my treatment plan but definately gotta have surgery to find out the type but then it's a waiting game. Waiting to hear off the hospital for further information.
How about you have they got any treatment plans in place?

Im going back to see the ENT consultant, and hopefully he will give me a date to have my thyroid and 2 nodes removed, still waiting on appt to see oncologist to find out what the plan is for the lung and liver xx
Waiting is always the hardest and for the third diagnosis I feel like it's 10 steps forward 5 back but as long as I feel I'm going forward I'm happy lol. I've just had a biopsy to see if the lymphoma is in that part of my body to.
Hopefully you will hear off your oncologist and they will be able to put the final piece of the puzzle in place for you
xx
Hi there Cancun, I'm sorry you are going through this for the third time. I can relate as I have had several recurrances, now over a 7 year period. So far I'm still standing and breathing too. It is a real downer each time though, so I know what your mean. I started out with colon cancer that matastised to my right lung. I had a colon re-section and two lung re-sections. Then I got diagnosed with bladder cancer tumors that travelled up my ureter tube to my kidney. I have had several surgeries for that and just had another surgery here a few weeks ago. This has been like a full-time job for me over the last 7 years. I try to go with the flow and in between all the surgeries, treatments, etc. I do what I can to enjoy what I'm able. I think it is at these times I gain the strength to get me through the medical stuff. Quality of life is what its' all about for me and I hope I can continue for awhile yet. I am running out of options though since there is nothing they can do anymore for my lung. As for my bladder, I will find out more on that when I meet with the urologist who will have the pathology report from my last bladder surgery. Its' been the story of my life now for the 7 years I've been doing this. I try to be thankful for the time that the doctors have been able to keep me alive. It certainly is a test of resiliency though.
Write back and let me know how you're getting along.
Take care.
Lorraine
Hi LorraineD
i'm sorry to read of your many setbacks over the years but I do agree with you that you have to live the life you have. I'm fortunate not to have had any recurrences, but I'm only a year clear after left radical Nephrectomy with 40/50% risk of recurrence within 5 years.
its good to be able to pass on positive vibes to others regardless of our plight. Hope it gives others a lift. I'm sure you'll agree, we all need a boost of positive vibes now and then.
i wish you well. Hope you stay well xx
