Hi Belinda. You will find it. You will find that you get this great inner strength appearing from nowhere when you most need it. Hi Belinda...

Im on the terminal side of the discussion but here are the things that gives me strength:

1. Knowledge and understanding my predicament - somehow its quite relieving to know that im not alone on this situation and its quite educational and inspiring to realize how other people on the same situation managed to pull themselves up and overcome the trials and challenges of life.

Learning and reliving other peoples experiences help me understand that there is nothing to be afraid of if you choses not be afraid. In the end we will all pretty much arrive at the same destination, which basically means we are all in this together... nobody is truly alone.

2. Love and appreciation of life - this might sounds cliche and corny (just like the first one) but thinking that life has purpose had made me accept my predicament much more easier. I had learn to see life as a journey whose every aspect are meant to teach us about love and acceptance. I think all aspects of life are meant to be enjoy and celebrated including the painful and the sad part of it.

Loving life for all its glory and unglory had help me much in forgiving and loving myself, forgiving and loving others and accept and moving head on to wherever the rest of this ride will take me.

Belinda I too experienced what you are going through now with my precious Mum nineteen years ago and then again three years ago with my mum in law the advice I can give you pet is one day at a time look for the positive in things not easy I know with the situation you will experience anger and distress at certain times it's a hell of a bad shock but be there for your Mum cry if you need to and make sure you have all medical information available God bless you both xx

Hi be linda,  my mum has also been diagnosed  with terminal melanoma in September  16. since then it has been really hard to find the strength but we do. Following  her diagnosis  a week later my dad suffered a severe heart attack which has left them both very ill. Been round this morning both frightened  of the future, all of us crying and trying to support each other. I will support you if you will support me. x
