I have had a number of BCC's removed surgically and whilst this is a successful way of dealing with them I would happily give the chemo cream a try, far better than having another 3" or so long scar. You haven't said where your BCC is? I was very worried about my first one but as you said very treatable and rarely do they spread into anything more serious. My first one wasn't diagnosed for several years and I ended up having 3 removed at the same time, with a few more since.
