just found out i have throat cancer

just found out three weeks ago that i h ave throat cancer never felt so scared in my life still fill the same am i a coward or is this a normal feeling they wont take it out got 6 weeks treatment instead are there anyone else out there the same need help x

    Hi Matt so sorry to hear tht. I got told 2 months ago I've got cancer on my vocal cords/voicebox, doc thinks it's early stages I had another biopsy yest, so now gotta wait for results my eds a shed. Just wanna know wats wat so can start treatment or av surgery.

    Hi Matt I was told new years Eve and I was terrified but my moto was I was gonna kick it's butt and I did.

    had tonsils removed Jan and started 6 weeks treatment mid March ended April ... not gonna lie it was tough but got through it with amazing family friends and hospital staff 

    when you due to start treatment and do you know what you having yet

    Hi mat and welcome to the forum that no one wants to belong to

    first and foremost you have come to the right place for answers and there are a lot of us on here who have survived what you are about to go through ... The are some similarities but we all have different but survivable journeys.

    i myself and just over two years post treatment for a tongue cancer lodged in the back of my throat. I too had 30 sessions of Tomotherapy and 6 hour sessions of chemo.

    i won't kid you ... It's a hard journey but worth it

    you are now in the process and it will be a huge education for you and the loved ones around you.
