All medicines have side effects and with chemotherapy these can include nausea (feeling sick) and vomiting. So if this is caused by the treatment then it is not something to be worried about, however it is a good idea to make sure your friend is taking their anti-sickness drugs.

When people are diagnosed with cancer and then have treatment then can feel very tired and fatigued. So again this isn’t something to be concerned about. The chemotherapy drugs will also cause the number of blood cells to drop but they will recover in the time between treatments. The doctors will be expecting this and may well have warned your friend that this is likely to happen. It certainly does sound as if the blood cells have improved well after the treatment.

Although this is quite a rare cancer the doctors will know how to treat it and will have a good idea about the prognosis so these are all encouraging signs so far. As treatment progresses the doctors will be able to tell more about how well it is working.
