Hi.
My first time posting on something like this but need to grab some advice.
My thyroid result have been borderline for 2 yrs until December 2015. Doctor finally decided to start me on meds in May, refered me to encrinology, and sent me of for a ultra sound as he felt a lump. Went for scan in June and yes lump present. Results sent back to doc with request for urgent ENT Referal, which I was told was done. End of July I got called back for FNA. At the appointment I was asked why still no ENT had been made. I managed to push the docs surgery to do referal after much arguements. Finally got ENT and encrinology appointment. Only to have encrinology cancelled within the same week as doc on annual leave. ENT is scheduled for late October.
I'm having trouble swallowing now and My lymph nodes are swollen on the left side and have been for many months.
I guess my main question is how long did people wait from diagnosis to treatment. I have been advised this is a 'probable ' cancer. Whatever that may mean for me. I don't want to google as I know this just throws horror stories at you.
