Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma

My mum has just been diagnosed with the above cancer and been told it is an aggressive high grade cancer but they have caught it in time.

She has an appopintment with a haematologist tomorrow can anyone let me know if this is when she receives her treatmenrt plan or does she have to go back again for this?  Also how soon is it before she is likely to receive any treatment?

  • Hi Dm,

I'm sorry to hear about your mum's diagnosis but it's great they have caught it in time so it can be treated.

I see you mentioned that your mum has an appointment with the haemotologist today. I'm not sure what time the appointment is but I just wanted to give you our nurses' telephone number. As they are specialist cancer nurses they may be able to answer some of the questions you've mentioned above and explain what will happen. If you have time you can give them a quick call on 0808 800 4040 (free to phone if you are in the UK) and they are available between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Wishes,
