Newly diagnosed Primary Liver Cancer

Hey everyone

I came across this forum whilst looking for support. Im 34 and was diagnosed last month with a primary liver tumour on the right lobe of my liver. Im 2 weeks post liver resection and feeling very very low. The surgery was scary and tough getting through and now i have the wait for further pathology results to determine if i need any further treatment.

I guess im just reaching out for support as i dont really know how to handle the emotional side of thing's. Im on the waiting list for counselling and jus feel like i cant talk to anyone at all xx

  • Welcome to the forum Sparkles81.

I'm sorry about your diagnosis and the tough time you've had recently but if you can, try and take comfort in the fact that even though the surgery was scary and tough you have managed to come through it which shows that you are stronger than you think you are.

Such a life changing experience can be difficult to talk about but you've taken a step in the right direction by being on the waiting list for counselling and coming to our forum. So many of our members will know how you're feeling and what you're going through right now having been in similar situations themselves and I'm sure they will be along soon to offer their support and advice. Also, this information on our website about coping emotionally might help as well.

Do let us know how you get on with your pathology results and remember that we are here for you if you need us.

    Wishing you all the best,
