Early AML diagnosis.

My dad has just been diagnosed with early AML. We are all devastated. He goes in hospital on Monday for 5 weeks of heavy chemo. He is a young 69. Still works. Fit and able. Never been ill that I have ever known. Never had a day off work sick. Never had a cold/flu. I just would like to know what to expect.

    Sorry to hear that your Dad has been diagnosed with AML. Understandably this is a difficult time for all of you with lots of questions and uncertainty about things. 

    We have some information on our website about AML that might be helpful. We also have a team of nurses that you can call to talk to. They are available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.
