Hi... from someone who just has to tell someone...

Hi,  I'm sure everyone gets that 'I need to tell someone, but don't want to worry them' feeling, so here I am telling strangers instead. I hope that's OK.

Two years ago I was daignosed with Thyroid cancer.  The same week my son was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I had an op and then radioactive iodine treatment. My son had a testicle removed and then chemo.  We were both clear. Phew!!

Last week I went for a routine mammogram and they have found something. I'm going to more tests on Tuesday. I wasn't going to tell my son, as I didn't want to worry him, but tonight he came to me to tell me that he thinks his cancer is back in the other testicle.

You couldn't make it up really, could you?!

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but I just had to get it off my chest and tell someone.

  • Always here to listen. This forum has been fabulous for me when I have felt really low and I have made some fantastic friends. I'm not sure if it helps you right now (dreaded waiting for results time!) but I found it helpful and reassuring when speaking to those who had or are dealing with the nastiness.
Sending love and thinking of you........ Joanne x
