Endrometrial cancer stage 3c

Hi my name is Shell and in January I was diagnosed with endrometrial stage 3c cancer, since then I have had a radical hysterectomy and have had round 2 of 6 chemotherapy. I would love to hear from anyone who is going through or has been through this, especially stage 3 c.  I am trying to stay positive but even my oncology doctor has told me there is a very high risk of it coming back.

  • Hi shellkidda

    Welcome to Cancer Chat.

I hope you will receive some replies from others who are going through or have been through a similar experience to you.

By replying to your post I've bumped it back up to the top of the list where it can be seen by those who may have missed it first time round.

    Best wishes

    Jane

  • Hi Shell

I was diagnosed the same in June 2022. I had a total hysterectomy on the 1st August and i am now on my second week of radiotherapy. I was unable to have chemo so i am hoping the radio will mop up any stray cancer cells. It is all very scary and very much the unknown. We can support each other and give each other hope. Yes i was told i had s 47 % chance of surviving 5 years with treatment. Fingers crossed i can prove the statistics wrong.

  • Hi SkinnyLatte,

I just noticed you were trying to reach out to Shellkidda.

They started this discussion back in 2016 and haven't been back on the forum since, so you may not get a reply.

I hope your radiotherapy is going well so far but if you have any questions about this, or would just like to talk things through with someone about your diagnosis, you can get in touch with our team of cancer nurses on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very friendly and will do all they can to help.

    Kind regards,
