Cancer of the urethra.

Hi. I was diagnosed with an aggressive, invasive high grade  (no exact level given) malignant tumour of my Urethra and bladder with secondary growths in Adrenals. The tumour at the neck of my Urethra is the size of a golf ball. It's invaded themuscle into my vagina wall, and has closed it. Has anyone ever had this form and did chemo help shrink it? If it fails, radiotherapy, if that fails, I don't know what. It's not operable.  Would appreciate any comments.

  • Hi Shabby, welcome to the forum, but sorry for why you find yourself here. I have bladder cancer that has been ongoing and treated for 3 years now. It had travelled up my ureter tube and I had major surger to remove a good piece of that tube which was re-placed with a plastic one. I also have other cancers that are unrelated to the bladder cancer which I won't go into right now. I can't speak to the condition you describe, but perhaps the nurses here on the forum can help sort some of this out for you. You can phone them during office hours at the phone number at the bottom of this page, or you can post in the section, "Ask the Nurses". Perhaps your treatment team/oncologist can clarify some issue for you also.

Come back on the forum and let us know how you get along.

    Take care.

    Lorraine
