My mum has just been diagnosed with leukaemia so although it's not the same condition, I can empathise. It feels horrendous doesn't it? I'm not sure what the say other than that I am so sorry about your Mum and if you would like to chat, then please do get in contact. Welcome to the forum though sorry to read the reason for your joining.  This is a great place to share thoughts and feelings and seek support.  I have responded to your post because my husband had this cancer and so may be able to help with some questions you may have.  The main Cancer Research site also has a section on Mesothelioma (quite a mouthful to say!!)   Unfortunately in my husband's case he was unable to have surgery but had extremely good support from our local hospital consultant and support team as well as the GP and community nursing team/palliative chemo team throughout his illness.
