Hi, I was diagnosed in November 2013, aged 36. I too was in a daze, which continued for some time. I was carried along on a wave of hospital appointments, stressed by all the information being thrown at me and had to make difficult decisions in regards to fertility treatment. I felt like it was happening to someone else! Even though I have an amazingly supportive husband and family I felt very alone. I was scared to break down as everyone went on about being 'positive'. You will feel like you're on a roller coaster of emotions. I think this is all very 'normal' and there are many people on this forum who have brilliant advice which can be comforting as it makes you realise you are not alone. My advice would be to reach out for support from Macmillan, and any support groups you might have access to. Even people who aren't use to discussing their deepest thoughts and feelings can benefit massively from this.
I don't know what treatment your medical team are suggesting but if you want to ask me any questions about chemo/ radio etc please just ask. And if you want to private message me please feel free.
Take care
