Just been told my mam has cancer

my mam just celebrated her 70th birthday middle of november. we had a big family gathering . my mam went home and had a mini stroke. In just 3 weeks she has lost lots of weight become weak and fragile and now in hospital. she has high calcium levels drinking fluids but straight out from the other end. lost her appitite and just sleeping lots nodding off alot . Today i was told it was Cancer, we dont know where or how advanced until further tests scans etc.  I am trying to be strong but i hurt so bad

    Sorry to hear your mam has had such a rough time. Its really unusual for the hospital to tell you that she has cancer before the results of the tests are known. Hopefully some treatment will be available to her. All the best Kim

    hi nettie   im so sorry to hear about your mum ,  im a mum with 3 wonderful daughters  22, 30, and 33.  ive had breast cancer 3 years ago and got through that with my girls keeping strong and making me laugh whenever they could , and now just been told i have lymphoma and its termanal  , im blind aswell as had a bleed on the drin in 2009 . i no it is hard for you hun , i do  my grls are getting through this by tring to keep life the same as they can , im sure your mum will be thinking of you so much  as i do my girls , just try to be strong together  and laugh and smile , that will help her and you im sure of it , all the best to you and your mum  marzy
