Hi, I have been told that I have cervical cancer and will need a hysterectomy, and then chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I am currently taking very high dose painkillers to help deal with my pain, and bleeding severely. I have lost a lot of weight. When first diagnosed almost 4 weeks ago, I was told they would probably operate at the end of that week as it was urgent. That didn't happen, and I am still waiting. Can anyone help me by telling me roughly how long I should expect to wait for my 'urgent' operation please? Thanks, I'm feeling quite desperate, especially as I have a 15 year old son to look after.
