I first went to my GP in Dec 2014 due to being in pain and slightly bleeding, as my last period was in 2008 I was a bit concerned. Since Feb I have had an internal scan with a biopsy, a smear test, an ultrasound then another internal scan all of which came back clear. In Sept on holiday I took a very bad bleed and on my return home had to go to A&E where I was admitted with anaemia. I then had a hysteroscopy done and on the 5th Nov I was diagnosed with cancer in the lining of my womb and was told that an operation was needed. I was sent for a CT scan and an MRI and patiently waited for the results. Yesterday I had an appointment with my consultant where I expected to hear when my operation was going to be, instead I got the news that my cancer had spread to my womb and the glands on both sided of my stomach and that after I had a PET scan I was looking at aggressive chemotherapy. I don't know what or how I feel at this moment in time I'm just trying to stay as positive as possible. I suppose I'm lucky in the sense that I have a great husband, family and friends to support me but the thought of chemotherapy just terrifies me.
