Worried

Just been informed today that my dad as a tumour in his lung and his adrenalin gland is enlarged. He's had a cough for over  a year and had an x-Ray over seven moths ago that was clear , then had another 3 weeks ago that showed the tumour and a CT scan confirmed this. He's got to have a biopsy on Friday to se how bad it is and what treatment he needs. Really worried!

  • Hi,

I truly understand how you feel and how worried you are. We all feel, as someone recently described perfectly to me, hit by a truck when a loved one is diagnosed. We feel alone, clueless and scared, which is very normal in this situation. I just want to tell you to find someone, preferably a friend, sibling or maybe even someone online to talk with. My brother has been diagnosed with Hodgkin this week and I really want to talk about it, but my parents just are busying themselves with something else. Of course (!) you can talk to hem but sometimes it's just nice to also talk about your little silly problems (which you will still have) with someonelse, at least for me.
Wish you best of luck and I hope everything will be clear soon. I also hope your dad will fully recover.

    Best wishes,

    Frederieke
