I do not have medical knowledge but thought you might find it helpful to either post your questions in the Ask the Nurses section or you can ring them on the freephone number (from UK landlines) at the bottom of this page Mon to Fri 9-5.  As your Dad has only recently been diagnosed I am sure there is a lot to take in but hopefully he will share his conversations with his medical support so that you have a clearer idea of what his treatment plan may involve.
