Kevin the kidney has gone. Only Kenneth is left.

I had my left kidney and some lymph nodes removed in July. Others tests thus far are all clear. It has been a shock and a worry for everyone. I have further check ups in October. Of course we wonder if I'll be in the clear. We're getting on with life. That's the way it is. Cancer is a worrying disease because of all the unknowns and that's what is hard to grasp. I'm a positive person and that helps. I'd be happy to talk with anyone who needs to chat.

  • "Cancer is a worrying disease because of all the unknowns and that's what is hard to grasp" summed up perfectly!

I do know a 78 year old lady who had a cancer kidney removed several years ago and she is fine now, so keep positive. I believe in healthy eating. I looked up all the foods that appear to kill cancer cells, e.g. beetroot, blueberries, green vegetables etc. and try to eat them all, plus zero sugar is best, but I can't stick to that one! good luck.
