My nan has lung and brain cancer

Hi everyone sad to say my nans lung cancer has spread to her brain, we dont know the type or stage of cancer we havent been told. I just want to know if anyone in your family or you have been in a similar situation and what treatment was needed and how much it helped? Thanks laura x
