Dad recently diagnosed

Hi everyone

My dad was recently diagnosed with stage 2 Squamous cancer. He had a lymph node removed from his armpit. However whilst awaiting the next steps another lump has appeared behind his knee. This is a long way from his armpit. Im just wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of cancer and travelling/spreading that far. He has had a ct scan of his core and that was all clear. Im worried about this new lump.

Thanks

  • Hello charlie25,

Thanks for sharing your story and welcome to this friendly forum!

I hope others with squamous cancer will see your message and share their experience with you. I think your dad should perhaps show this new lump to his consultant or the doctor who diagnosed him. With any bumps and lumps, it is always a good idea to have them checked out.

Let us know what the doctor says - we are keeping our fingers crossed for your dad!
