Hi PeeWee - I thought I recognised your name and realised we had spoken before. What a shock for you, I am so sorry to hear this latest news! I am sorry but I do not know about this type of tumour - is it a secondary growth or a new disease? I understand to some extent what you are going through because i too was told I have mets in the brain in January after thinking I was doing so well. It is devastating and somehow feels much worse when the word 'brain' is mentioned. I was able to have cyber/gamma knife treatment and presently the tumour has not grown . There were other tumours noted on the scan but they remain inactive at the moment.
I am sure you are feeling totally lost at the moment and it will take time for this latest news to register. Will you see the consultant again soon to talk about possible treatment plans? Please keep in touch and remember there are many here who know you and will want to support you through this terrifying time.
I am so sorry you are going through such turmoil PeeWee - I had to make a similar decision in January about whether to have targeted radiotherapy on my brain. I hope the consultant was helpful at telling you the benefits versus risks of surgery so that you can make an informed decision. What is your gut feeling? That is normally the one to follow x
Oh God Peewee, this is such a difficult decision for you especially as you are feeling so strange. I felt like I had had a couple of bottles of wine every day and not clear headed at all - is it similar?
