  • Hi Naina,

Welcome to this friendly and supportive forum allthoug I am sad at the reason that brought you here. I felt so helpless as there was nothing I could do to stop cancer when my mother was suffering from breast cancer. I also lost my grandmother and an aunt also to breast cancer. So allthough the cancer is differnt to you mothers, the way it affects the family and loved ones is just the same.

I expect you are trying to show your mother a brave face but what people dont often appreciate, the family and friends of the patient also need emotional support, for it is so hard seeing someone you love suffering the rollercoaster ride that cancer forces on us.  That is where this site is so good for you may find it easier to talk to complete strangers but who know what an emotional and stressful time it is.

Any time you feel the need to talk, please post on here for there are lots of lovely people on here who will lend a listening ear and offer words of support. Please keep us posted as and when you can. Sending best wishes and kind thoughts your way, Brian.
