Hi all I'm sue just recently been diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer
Hi Sue,
I am sorry to hear you have been diagnosed.
I know its a shock, have they told you anything about your treatment plan yet?
Take each day as it comes and talk to family as this will help.
I wish you the best of luck.
Hi Sue,
Welcome to Cancer Chat but sorry to read you have just been diagnosed with cancer. As Space has said, It helps to talk, and it can ofter be easier to talk to people on here than it is to family or friends for people on here know what am emotional time it is, especially when we are first diagnosed, for our brains jump into overdrive and always imagine the worst case scenario.
Please stay in contact and let us know how you getting on. Sending best wishes and kind thoughts your way, Brian.

Its a waiting game now hey.
Hi thanx for your message yes just had 3 weekly treatments of brach therapy at Christies hospital its now a waiting game till July to see if its worked or not.
Hi Sue,
I expect you are aware that waiting is a very stressful time as people on this site will agree. It give us a lot of time to think and it's only human nature to assune the worst case scenario. But cancer treatments are improving all the time and are getting better still.
Brachotherapy is also used for treating prostae cancer which is what I had and is proving very sucessful. It wasnt suitable for me as m y PSA was too high. I remember having to wait just six week from my last radiotherapy session which seemed like a lifetime, for a blood test to find out the results. And it was well worth the wait in the end for my PSA which was high at 70 when diagnosed had come right down to 0.5 and in another six weeks was down to the lowest they can measure at 0.01. I am telling to this to show that cancer can be beaten and hope it will help you during your long wait.
Take care and anytime you need to talk there are lots of people on here who will respond.
Best wishes and hoping to hear you recieve good results, Brian.
Awwww thank you so much for encouraging words I'm glad you got your fantastic result.yes I'm sure the wait will be the hardest part as at least when you know were you are you can deal with things a bit better
