I had a full. Hysterectomy for womb cancer last September. Have they told you what stage you are or what they plan to do medically? Please don't be afraid - there is so much help out there and we are here for you. x
Unfortunately mine wasn't caught early and had invaded my cervix too , but I am 70. I can understand that you are worried and anxious but have positive thoughts. Please let us know how you get on, on Tuesday.
Its awful when you first get the news and natural to panic but i have done a fair bit of research since i was diagnosed 6 weeks ago and the outlook is very positive. Firstly if caught early there is a good chance of treatment curing your cancer. When you feel up to it ring Macmillan and speak to them they were brilliant explaining things like what treatment was available . I have also found tenovus useful.
I found the first weeks the worst i hated having to be back and for to the hospital for tests and stuff and having to see nurses and doctors on a regular basis even though they were all lovely. I felt as im sure you do that your life has been taken over but it calms down once your MRI tests results are in and a treatment plan is formulated. Also i found i assumed the worst if nurses wouldnt tell me stuff over the phone. I must have had at least 10 panics over the last weeks reading things into vague comments, all for nothing as it turned out. :D
Hopefully it hasn't spread. How did they diagnose womb cancer in the first place? Hope you get the MRI soon, not pleasant having to wait around for tests and results. Please keep us updated, and wishing you all the best.
