my almost 30 year old son, with cerable palsy and a number of other related conditions has today been diognosed withBarrets.. stumach cancer related....never smoked, drank eats very carefully,,, hes LD!

I guess that shows how random cancer can be in who it affects. Life can seem so unfair when mass murderers win the Lottery and truly innocent people can suffer from disease. I have some empathy with you as I have a son the same age who is severely autistic with associated SLD who recently went through surgery for a non-cancer condition.
On the positive side, if he has been diagnosed with Barrett's there is a good chance that it will be either pre-cancerous or in an early stage if cancer has developed.

I am so sorry to hear of your son's diagnosis. It sounds like it hasn't been an easy road for him. For that I am sorry. I am also 31, don't drink or smoke and have just 2 says ago been diagnosed with Barrets as well. Could you please share any information with me that you have? I would appreciate it more than you know. I am waiting 1 week for my next appointment with my doctor. Until then my mind has been working non-stop.
