Hi

I was recently diagnosed with acinic cell carcinoma in the parotid gland. I have been told that it is very rare and as a consequence I feel very alone. I would love to talk with someone who has experience with this cancer.  I believe the prognosis is good. I had the tumor removed on the 5th December and was given the diagnosis on February 2nd.

I had a staging c.t. scan last Friday and my results are due on the 30th March. I also have a mysterious swelling in the neck/throat area which couldn't be seen on the ultra sound scan. A goiter has been ruled out though I do have underactive thyroid too.
