Looking for anyone diagnosed with Tubular breast cancer

Hi, I've recently been diagnosed with Tubular breast cancer in its very early stages, I've been told prognosis is very good and am due a lumpectomy next Friday but I am struggling  going to find any one else who has the same type, I know it is very rare but would be lovely to hear from someone going through the same x

  • I was diagnosed with tubular in both breasts 6 months ago, 2 lumpectomies and am just about to start radiotherapy. In 10-20% of cases this type is bilateral, make sure you have both breasts checkedx

  • Hiya,

Thanks for your reply, I have had various checks on both Breasts and all they have found is a 10mm grade one spot of tubular in my right breast,I actually went to get another lump investigated which turned out to be nothing and this was found by sheer fluke so I know I should be thanking my lucky stars but it's still been the most stressful thing I've ever been though,im lucky enough to have private Heath care so know im in very good hands and I know the slightest chance there may be something else going will be picked up, I wish you the very best and thanks you so much for replying, take care Jo x

  • hi, jo, how are you doing after your treatment,it is quite an ordeal isnt itx

  • Hi to you both, I too had Tubular on one side and during the tests they also found Invasive Lobular on the other, which was a real shock but thank goodness they were looking. Had lumpectomies & SNBs followed by radiotherapy which although completed in early June is still causing a lot of swelling and pain. As you say, quite an ordeal! I hope you are recovering well now yourselves?  Take care  Sue x

  • hi sue, sorry to hear you are a double doser like me, i have not recovered either, had burns on both sides from radiotherapy and like you say still swollen and painful, i think its much worse to go through for bilateralx
