Advanced bowel cancer

Hi my family are going through hell at the moment as my mum has recently been diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer with spread to liver and lungs, her only symptom for now is her anaemia, we are all scared and worried what is going to happen. She is 55 and is in general good health, can anyone help me or has anyone been through this? X

    Hi Mndy,

    Glad your mum is half way through her chemo. It's a tough time for sure. As Steven  says, sometimes the comradery between the other patients can help a little during treatments. The tiredness and emotional aspects of it, I can relate to. :( 

    I'm battling on, thanks for asking. Seeing my old Oncologist next week to explore possible chemo options and booked in for a body scan on Election Day of all days! 

    If it helps, Keep us posted with your mum's progress. How are you and the rest of your family doing? Remember to look after yourselves too.

    Thank you all for your kind words, we are all bearing up. My mum is doing well, she has had her scan and it has shrunk some spread so is going in the right direction and starts the next round of chemo on 29th july xx Hope you are all well too. Sending love and hugs to you all xx
