Worried my cancer has spread

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer .. Since I've known this I have pain in my neck and middle of my back its like a dull ache .. My cancer not spread to lymph nodes but worrying its spread to spine . So anxious it's killing me

  • Hi Syers,

Sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. Have you reported this to your specialist/doctor? if not please do not hesitate to contact them as soon as possible. Best wishes Brian.

  • Hello Syers38,

Woodworm has given you some very sensible words of advice already about speaking to your Dr/medical team.
I just wanted to let you know that we do also have a team of nurses here at Cancer Research UK that you could call to speak to as well. They are available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040 which is free to call from a UK landline.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Syers hope you have contacted your dr by now know how terrifying it all is thinking of you  its the unknown that is the worst best wishes judyann

  • Hi syers I know a diagnosis is hard , you question what you knew about your body and minute aches can multiply in your mind to something of the unknown x take ten minutes and try not to stress I know its difficult still wearing that tshirt . There are people you can talk to who understand whats going through your mind remember you are not alone we are thinking about you, and when an explanation is given with support the unknown fades and your strength will see you throuh hope this helps I am thinking of you right now chin up

  • Hi I know how scary this can all be but you've had some good advice on here. If you are 45 or under there is a fantastic group on fb called YBCN younger breast cancer network which is an amazing group for young women with bc. Plenty of fantastic women who give support, advice or even if it's just that ppl need a place to have a bit of a rant about things in....I know if it wasn't for YBCN I'd have gone thru treatment etc more or less alone....
