I had a mammogram and ultrasound today , and have been told I have a high probability of breast cancer . A biopsy was taken and I get the results on Monday . I don’t know how to feel I am so numb as was not expecting this .
Hi there- I’m sorry that you have been told today that you have a high probability of breast cancer following a mammogram & ultrasound. My understanding is that only the biopsy can give you a definite breast cancer diagnosis so there is always a chance that until the biopsy results are available the medics may have got it wrong. However, if breast cancer is confirmed on Monday the experts will look at your individual situation & come up with a treatment plan specifically tailored to do everything it can to help you through it. Everybody on this forum has been either directly or indirectly affected by cancer & there will always be someone on here who knows & understands exactly how you are feeling at any one time so please reach out & ask for help & support at any stage of your journey if you need it.
