Hi my husband have just been diagnosed with Merkel cell carcinoma he is being referred to the sarcoma team we haven’t been told any thing else he is in the hospital at the moment we’re just shocked
I'm sorry to hear that your husband has recently been diagnosed with Merkel cell carcinoma. It's understandable that this news may have left you in shock and natural that you will have lots of questions about what happens next.
It's good to hear that you've been referred to the specialists and hopefully you won't have to wait too long for that appointment. We know that for many people, this period of waiting and uncertainty can be really difficult. Hopefully when you see the specialists and your husband has had any additional tests done, the team will be able to give you some firm answers about treatment options and reassurance about the care he will be receiving.
