What a shock the diagnosis must have been for you and your family and the devastating news must be really hard for you to process  at the moment. There is still so much unknown after a new cancer diagnosis that it is easy to feel overwhelmed especially when told that the cancer is stage 4 and that it has spread. You will find useful information on our website on bile duct cancer as well as on treatment for bile duct cancer and sometimes there are so many questions racing through your head and so few answers after receiving a diagnosis that it might help also to give our cancer nurses a call if there is anything you want to talk through with them. They have a free helpline you can ring on 0808 800 4040 - Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. 

I hope that you will come across others on this forum who have had a stage 4 bile duct cancer diagnosis as it helps to talk to others who have been in the same boat before. If you do a forum search for 'bile duct cancer' or 'cholangiocarcinoma' in our search function which is located at the top, you will find other relevant threads from members who have been affected by bile duct cancer and don't hesitate to respond to any you feel you would like to engage with. For example Misuel1955 posted this thread on being diagnosed with stage 4 bile duct cancer and there are many more examples like this and I hope that someone who has had the same diagnosis will come and share their experience and treatment stories with you. 

It is a lot to take in for you and your family at the moment and it's a time when you are bound to feel isolated as you navigate all this whilst feeling a bit in the dark or isolated. I just wanted you to know that you are not alone and I hope that you will soon connect with others on here who know exactly what you are going through.
