A few weeks ago I had a liver resection to remove a tumour.
Had my follow up today with my consultant and Macmillan nurse.
Consultant said the tumour was not benign. I don't know why he phrased it that way. He's never been a great communicator. He then said that it originated from the uterus and the uterus needs to be removed ASAP.
I am really frustrated. I had been waiting for a gynae referral for months, only to find out that my GP surgery had sent the referral in the wrong name. They realised their mistake a couple of weeks ago, and sent a fresh referral - so basically several months were completely wasted and I was back at square one.
Now with my update from my liver consultant, he has put in an urgent referral to gynae.
I am so unclear on what's going on. I will call my Macmillan nurse tomorrow, but I don't even really know what to ask. I was in limbo for months because of my liver and now I feel like I've just been thrown right back into limbo.
