DIAGNOSED IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS . PERMANENT CONDITION OR NOT ? INSURANCE OR NOT ?

Hope what I am going to write does not seem as silly as it could do , I was not to sure what category this would fall into . So here goes........As the title says I have been diagnosed within the last 6 months with VIN3 precancerous cells of the Vulva . I underwent a WLE  in January this year and it would appear that all the precancerous cells have been removed and the 2nd  biopsy  did show VIN3 as did the first biopsy in October 2025 . I am still to see the specialist as apparently I was made aware of this in what I was told was the general gynae clinic and seeing a specialist is  still required (for whatever reason I do not have a regular Consultant) .

When first diagnosed  I contacted my travel insurance ,  they told me not to pay for anything as I was not covered , in fact very bluntly/precisely I was told do NOT pay for anything !! So holiday cancelled . In my ignorance although I have been told I do not have cancer only precancerous cells which have now been removed but I will require regular follow up checks ,  - am I considered to have a permanent condition or not ? I had a cancer scare a few years ago which I had surgery for .  A large ovarian mass was removed and  full hysterectomy a biopsy carried out no cancer and no follow up required .  The reason the holiday was cancelled then was the procedure date did actually coincide with the holiday date and I want things sorted , my decision . However when I declared it to the travel insurance it did not affect my premiums but was on record .  Travel insurance does not seem to be as easy as the advertisements make it out to be .

Anyone else  going through or been through similar circumstances ?  I would appreciate your comments .

Take care .....x
