Frightened - I was diagnosed with terminal oesophageal cancer 2 months ago and I'm finding it difficult to cope with it all

I was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer 2 months ago and am now with the palliative care nurses, I am just coming up to my 86th birthday and my cancer is terminal, I had breast cancer at 52 which I sailed through with a lumpectomy and radiotherapy, I am very afraid of what is ahead of me pain wise etc and my anxiety is high and am finding it so difficult to cope with it all.

    I dont really know what to say.  If you ask your nurses they maybe able to point you in the direction of a therapist who can help with your aniexty and feelings or local cancer charitys, cancer research or macmillan. Im sure they will make sure you dont have pain with medication. Sending you a big hug. Xx
