Hi Gailw,
The long wait for results can be anxiety inducing as many of our members will know only too well so I can imagine it hasn't been easy for you after having your lymph node biopsy. I am so sorry to hear that this is affecting your appetite and quality of sleep and the sleep deprivation will definitely not help your feelings of anxiety so if the lack of appetite and difficulties sleeping carry on, it might be worth talking to your GP about it and they will be happy to help.
Our website has detailed information on the lymph node biopsy guided by ultrasound and it mentions there that "it takes 1 or 2 weeks to get the results" - however there may well be delays or regional variations so if you haven't heard anything in the coming days, it would not hurt to chase those results by getting in touch with the hospital or your surgery and ask them for an update as to when you are likely to receive them.
While you are dealing with the stress and anxiety that goes with this time of great uncertainty, I thought I would share with you our helpful tips on how to cope while waiting for important news
I hope you get your results soon and that you get some definite answers and that it all turns out to be nothing of concern.
Best wishes,
