Hello Why1

I'm sorry to hear that you're facing the possibility of a diagnosis of colon cancer. It's understandable that this might be a worrying time, but it's good to hear that in the specialist's opinion, it hasn't spread. 

We know that for many people, this period of uncertainty and waiting for results and then a treatment plan can be really difficult. Hopefully you will be able to connect with others who have been through treatment for bowel cancer such as gruntifen aka  David who is one of the community members and a 10-year survivor of stage 4 bowel cancer. Hopefully he will pop along to say Hello! and share some of his advice and tips with you. 

In the meantime, if it would help to talk things through with one of our nurses you're most welcome to give them a call. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040. 

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for your next appointment with the specialist and they will be able to give you some answers and reassurance.
