TNBC metaplastic - had surgery and waiting for results to find out what happens next

I have recently been diagnosed with TNBC METAPLASTIC 

  • I have had lumpectomy and sentinel lymph nodes removed (2nd feb ) the steri strip has come off today
  • is there anything I can put on the scar ? Plus to stop my arm from sticking 
  • I am still waiting on the results from all of this ( 5th march ) then to know what the next steps are 

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat Deedlez although I'm sorry to hear you were recently diagnosed with Metaplastic Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

    I hope your recovery is going well but if you're still unsure on what you can do to protect your scar after the steri strip came off then don't hesitate in giving our cancer nurses a call. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to help. If you were assigned a breast cancer nurse, do get in touch with them as well so you can let them know what happened as they will be in the best position to advise.

    Hopefully some of our members who have had a similar diagnosis or encountered a similar issue after their surgery will stop by soon to share their stories and advice but in the meantime, we're sending you all our support Deedlez and wishing you all the best with your results and appointment next week.
