Oesophageal cancer stage 3 n2 and due to have a biopsy on lymph nodes tomorrow. Has anyone else gone through this?

Hi been to see mdt team today we got to have a biopsy test on 2 lymphnodes that are slightly enlarged tommorow they said if they are cancerous they would refer us to palliative care we have had no treatment or nothing yet any one else any information thanks

    Hi,

    I’ve been through something similar.

    If they haven’t already explained, ask them why you’ve only so far been offered palliative chemo and why other treatments such as surgery or radio therapy haven’t been offered. 

    In my case, my primary had grown away from my oesophagus  and around my aorta, which made those two options too risky.

    Hi thanks for we are still in the process of them checking see if at spead into 2 lymph nodes in the neck thats when they said if it as spread its going to be palitive care and hand it over so we got to wait another week or so so they know what chemo to give her so still waiting game hope all goes well with your self  take care
