  • Welcome to Cancer Chat Piglet although I'm sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with metastatic melanoma.

Finding out you have cancer can bring about so many thoughts and emotions but I hope this information we have about how cancer can make you feel will show you that what you're experiencing at the moment is completely normal, and that it's o.k to feel this way.

I'm sure some of our members will share their stories and advice with you soon but if it would help to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses, you can give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their helpline is open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to support you and address any other questions or concerns you might have about your diagnosis at this time.

Hopefully once you've had a chat with your medical team and know what's going to happen next you will feel a bit more in control, but in the meantime be kind to yourself Piglet and give yourself the time and space you need to process the news you've been given.

We're sending you all our support and we'll be by your side every step of the way.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
