I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and due to have operation after Christmas. I have coped well i think so far but I have started to panic as I have hearing difficulties and am in that bit where I can hear some sounds but lip read more than actually hear. My previous clinic appointments have gone well as my partner came with me as back up, but the hospital have just advertised that masks have to be worn for all clinics and visits. How do I get round this? It's probably a simple solution but my first thought was panic. Has anybody had any experience of a similar situation possibly during covid. The only thing my brain can think of is to resort to pen and paper
