Lost a kidney to renal cancer and now have prostate cancer

Glad to be here after Renal Cancer some years ago with nephrectomy and treatment and recently had a TURP to be told afterwards I had prostate cancer. I think it’s slow growing and will be actively ‘surveilled’ but wish they’d taken the whole prostate out!!!

Anyone else had experience of prostate cancer active surveillance?

    I'm really sorry to hear you were recently diagnosed with prostate cancer after having TURBT. This must have been quite a shock, but it's good to hear that you will be under active surveillance.

    Hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar position will share their experiences and advice with you soon but if you have any further questions or concerns you can speak with one of our cancer nurses on 0808 800 4040. They're available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to help.
