Diagnosed insitu melanoma

Hi all, today I have had the results from my mole removal and as I thought the mole is melanoma but luckily I have caught it early as its in situ.

Plan is to remove another 3mm and ill also get an appointment for a nurse to look at all my moles!

I have a-lot of moles and a couple I think need a look over…. Could they end up recommending having more removed?

Thanks

  • I'm sorry the results showed the mole was a melanoma Kirsty, but it's good to hear it's been caught early and that another 3mm is going to be removed.

Getting your other moles checked as well sounds like a good idea. That way you will have peace of mind.

You can find out more about melanoma in situ on our website, but if you have any further questions or concerns about the melanoma that's been removed or some of the moles you're planning on getting checked, then don't hesitate in giving our team of cancer nurses a call. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to help.

We do have quite a few members within our community who have received a similar diagnosis so now that I've replied, hopefully some of them will see your post and stop by soon to share their experiences and advice.

    Kind regards,
