Biopsy showed breast cancer. I’m 35

Hey, I have recently been told a lump found on a breast biopsy was cancer and the report says breast tissue infiltrated by invasive ductal carcinoma exhibiting grade 1 and grade 2 patterns and given an overall grade 2 and a solid intermediate grade DCIS. Due to have mammogram and MRI tomorrow. Has anyone been in the same situation as me? I can’t eat or drink, I’m filled with worry that it’s spread or in other places. Ultrasound showed no changes to lymph nodes in armpits and other breast had no unusual lumps but you just never know. I’m so so nervous about the other tests tomorrow :(

    A very warm welcome to our forum.

    I am so sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis and fully understand your nervousness. The way you are feeling about your additional tests is perfectly normal, but you are doing the right thing by getting this investigated. Judging by your ultrasound and biopsy results, it sounds as if you have caught this fairly early, which is good. I suspect that your consultant is just being doubly sure because your cancer is inflammatory, but it is reassuring that s/he is being so thorough. Facing anything "unknown" like this, is always disturbing, but you shouldn't have long to wait to find out the results. I sincerely hope that nothing new is found.
