Newly diagnosed with stage 1b melanoma

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and i am looking or some advice. I am a 41 year old man who has recently been diagonosed with stage 1b melanoma. I am currenly waiting to go in for a lymph node biopsy and i am so scared. I am a new Father and feel as though all of this is getting on top of me. I am hoping and praying this has been caught early enough as i have to be here and healthy for my family

Thanks

  • Welcome to the Cancer Chat forum Lookingforanswersplease although I'm sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with stage 1b melanoma.

Coping with a cancer diagnosis can be very difficult but I hope it helps to know that you don't have to go through this alone as so many of our members who have been diagnosed will understand how you're feeling, and hopefully some of them will stop by soon to offer their support and advice.

I hope this information we have about the lymph node biopsy you're due to have will put your mind at ease slightly, but if it would help to talk to one of our cancer nurses, you can give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their helpline is open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to support you and answer any other questions you may have at this time.

Do keep posting if you find it helps and remember that we will be by your side throughout this journey.

    Kind regards,
