Hi, ive started Chemo too. I had my first session a week past Monday & my next session this coming Mon. I have taken sometime off my work, but only because im in a bar so its a lot of standing about etc & im finding im getting short of breath easily. I personally feel fine other thsn a bit low & breathless.
When I spoke to my oncologist before starting Chemo, he did say everyone is different, but he has a lot of patients who react to the treatment im on very positively. They continue work etc. Im hoping the more chemo I get, the easier ill find it & be able to go back to work.
Id say try gauge it on how you feel. Can you see yourself being able to continue working the next day or a few days after chemo? How have you been feeling after each chemo session?
Only you know how your Chemo is affecting you & nobody will judge you if you feel you do need to take time off. We are going through a hell of a ride just now.
