Had a phone call from my nurse today, she came up with the results of biopsies of the liver, unfortunately not at all good, yes it's cancer.
Where do I go from here??

Hello Migmog,
I am so so sorry to hear the results of the liver biopsies have confirmed it is cancer. Looking at the other thread you posted a few days ago, you were waiting to find out if you had bile duct cancer so if this diagnosis has indeed been confirmed, I wanted to share with you our information on bile duct cancer which is also called cholangiocarcinoma. This is a time for you when the shock is immense especially as you were given the news on the phone and that can be a little unsettling in itself and even though the nurse has given you the results, you don't have all the details yet so I can imagine a lot of questions are still left unanswered. It might be worth getting in touch with our cancer nurses and talking things through with them or asking them questions you might have after your diagnosis. You can ring them Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm on this free number 0808 800 4040.
It's difficult after the shock of a cancer diagnosis to know where to go from there and I just wanted you to know that our community is always there for you to support you during this challenging time. I hope that you will get to see the specialist soon so that you know a bit more as to what to expect and what treatment options are available to you. You are bound to feel very alone after your diagnosis so I wanted to put you in touch with other members of our community who have recently posted on the forum mentioning their bile duct cancer diagnosis. For example Nellie_1201 posted this thread about being scared after their cholangiocarcinoma diagnosis and a few weeks ago Paindarr posted this thread sharing their recent cholangiocarcinoma diagnosis. Feel free to respond to any of these threads and I hope that you will soon connect with others on here who have been in your place before and know what it is like to receive this news.
We're thinking of you during this anxious time as you are still waiting to get more details and information and I hope that I will be joined by other members of our community who have been in a similar place before.
Best wishes,
Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator
