Hello everyone,
I began taking Letrozole less than two weeks ago, and I’m already seeing remarkable changes. I’ve been living with breast cancer since 2017 and even tried cryoablation in Turkey last year, which unfortunately didn’t work. When my tumor began visibly projecting through the skin of my breast, I made the decision to seek treatment in the UK. I had to pad my bra just to keep it from showing through my clothes.
After undergoing every test imaginable—including blood work—I was finally prescribed Letrozole. And the results have been nothing short of amazing. The tumour that once protruded from my breast has nearly flattened. I truly believe that my healthy lifestyle has played a major role in complementing the medication.
Here’s what I’ve been doing: I start each day with fresh fruit, swim at least four times a week, and walk for an hour on the days I don’t swim. Exercise lifts my mood, which is so important when taking medication that can affect your emotional state.
I’ve chosen not to pursue surgery. After living with breast cancer for so many years—and knowing it’s not an aggressive form—I trust that my body is capable of healing. I love my breast; it’s part of who I am. I believe that with faith, movement, and nourishment, my body will find its balance.
I’m scheduled to return to the hospital in three months. Until then, I’ll continue my wellness routine back home in Jamaica. My hope is that when I return to the UK, the tumor will have shrunk so significantly that it inspires other women with breast cancer to stay active and embrace healing.
Healthy body, healthy mind…
